Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how HOPE Health Inc. ("HOPE Health," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our telehealth platform. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides further details on how we handle your personal information.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide a better user experience, and supply information to website operators. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remaining on your device for a set period or until you delete them).
2. What We Use — and What We Don't
HOPE Health uses only strictly necessary browser storage. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or any similar tracking technology. Everything stored in your browser exists solely to make the platform work:
Strictly Necessary Storage
These items are required for the platform to function and cannot be disabled. They are stored in your browser's local storage and are never shared with advertisers or analytics providers.
| Item | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication session | Keeps you securely signed in and refreshes your session so you aren't logged out unexpectedly. | Until you log out |
| Interface preferences | Remembers small choices you've made, such as prompts you've dismissed. | Until you clear browser data |
| Temporary session flags | Short-lived flags used within a single visit (for example, a reminder you snoozed). | Until you close the tab |
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking of any kind. To understand aggregate site traffic we use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement service that is cookie-less: it stores nothing on your device, does not identify individual visitors, and cannot follow you across other websites. If our approach ever changes, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent before any tracking cookies are set.
3. Local Storage
Our platform primarily uses your browser's local storage rather than traditional HTTP cookies. Local storage functions similarly to cookies but is managed through JavaScript rather than HTTP headers, and its contents are never automatically sent over the network. We use it for the items listed in section 2 — your authenticated session and small interface preferences — and for nothing else. It is not shared with third parties.
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have control over which cookies are stored on your device:
- Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions.
- Strictly Necessary Storage: This cannot be disabled as it is required for the platform to function. Blocking it may prevent you from logging in or accessing your account.
- Nothing else to opt out of: Because we don't use analytics or advertising cookies, there are no optional cookies to manage — there is nothing tracking you to turn off.
Common Browser Cookie Settings
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Cookies and site data
5. Third-Party Services
A small number of third-party services are contacted when you use specific features. These services may set their own cookies on their own domains, which we do not control:
- Supabase (supabase.co) — secure authentication and platform infrastructure, hosted in Canada.
- Vercel (vercel.com) — website hosting, plus cookie-less aggregate analytics and performance measurement (nothing stored on your device).
- Google Maps (google.com) — powers the address and pharmacy search fields when you use them.
- Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing; Stripe's own cookies apply on its secure checkout page.
- Content delivery networks (Fontshare, jsDelivr) — deliver fonts and scripts; they do not set cookies.
Each third party operates under its own privacy and cookie policies. We encourage you to review their policies for more information about how they handle your data.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want your online activity tracked. There is currently no universal standard for how companies should respond to DNT signals. We will update this policy if a standard is established and we adopt a DNT response protocol.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our use of cookies or applicable regulations. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
